Honda CB Motorcycle Gathering - June 2001 Event

In June 2001, a group of Vintage Honda CB Motorcycle enthusiasts gathered for a one-time event at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The event was led by The Honda CB900F Website (formerly members.fortunecity.com/cb900f) in conjunction with the Honda CB Customs website. (formerly cbcustom.freeservers.com).

The event called for anyone who owned a Honda CB900F, Honda CB1100F, Honda CB900C, Honda CB1000C, or, for that matter, any Honda CB motorcycle manufactured in the 1970’s or 1980’s to hop on their bike and ride on over to participate in the event. Of course, anyone who did not own one of the mentioned Honda Motorcycles was eligable to join as well, however, most attendees did in fact own a Honda CB motorcycle.

The following is the list of the dedicated attendees who came from all over the U.S.A. and Canada to meet others who share their interest in Honda CB Motorcycles. Each attendee is listed with their corresponding motorcycle and the location from which they came:

The turn out was as expected and the event was a success. A great time was had by all who rode along. A variety of different Honda CB class motorcycles showed up along with their enthusiastic owners. It is encouraging to know that their is still a large number of proud Honda CB Motorcycle owners.

Here is the call for attendees posted in 2001 on The Honda CB900F Website:

“The Honda CB900F website, in conjunction with the Honda CB Customs Website is calling ALL owners of Honda CB900Cs, CB1000Cs, CB900Fs and CB1100Fs which were manufactured in the late 70s and early 80s to come out and meet each other on Saturday June 16th, 2001, and Sunday June 17th, 2001, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

So… over the next few months, do those necessary repairs that you’ve been putting off, have your engine tuned up, clean and polish the chrome, and check your tires, all in preparation to “hit the road” - destination Harrisburg, in late June to meet many other owners with bikes similar to yours. It’s a great reason to come out for a ride.

Call early, and “book a room” at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Conference Center - Harrisburg (or any other location you wish), which will be used as the “home base” for this event.”

The Agenda was as follows:Saturday, June 16th 2001
3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. “Meet and Greet / Bike Show” - Holiday Inn
5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. “Ride out” to a local restaurant for supper.
9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. “Beers and Munchies” - Holiday Inn lounge.


Sunday, June 17th 2001
9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. “Breakfast / Brunch” - Holiday Inn Restaurant.
BEFORE 11:00 a.m. “Room Check-out”.
12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. “Goodbyes” - Everyone goes their own way.
